DANJEK Kennel. Portuguese Water Dog breeder (PWD)

I read both reviews. Regarding the positive one, I have no doubt she breeds nice dogs, and I can confirm that is likely very accurate. However regarding the negative review, the reviewer is likely very accurate as well, and is very likely not a quack. I am writing this review because I didn't like the owners response. You can often judge a business and an owner by how it handles complaints. There are the ones that take the high road and accept criticism and those who instead deflect and call the customer a derogatory name. Those latter are the ones you are not likely to believe and are at the very least, not being very professional. Here is my experience that happened several years ago. It is similar to the negative reviewer so I doubt hers and mine is just a one off. I gave the owner a sizable deposit with the understanding that there was an upcoming litter, with specific parents, that we wanted to pick from. We wanted to get a puppy from this particular litter during this expected birth time frame and we made this very clear. We weren't the first on the list to pick and understood this on our side. We gave the deposit without anything in writing as far as a contract goes. We did have an email trail. So unfortunately the litter failed, which was very sad & unfortunate. Although we were empathetic, it wasn't going to work for us, but we got no refund of the deposit when we asked for it. She accused me of already getting a dog somewhere else and she said no gave refunds under any circumstances, end of story, get over it. She knew our circumstances up front and yet took our deposit knowing our expectations to pick from that particular litter when it arrived. The fact she couldn't make it happen for us (as sad as it was) was her problem not ours. She did say we could pick from upcoming litters (not anytime soon) with other parents and would let us know. She never did and I think basically wrote us off because we challenged her ethics. We had a narrow window to get and train a puppy and we wanted one from these particular parents. We couldn't wait a year and there was no guarantee these parents would ever have a litter ever again. Knowing all these circumstances she should have 100% given the deposit back. I have run a business myself for over 30 years and it's a no brainer when you can't deliver to the customers expectation, unless you are indeed greedy". The owner can respond to this and call me a quack too. If she does

After doing extensive searching for a breeder, I was pleased to find Danjek. I loved how she breeds as family pets and not show animals. Also, I found her breeding practices to be ideal for both the females, the selection processes for males, and families selecting a puppy.Adrianna continues to answer my questions months after receiving my puppy. She is a wealth of knowledge on the breed. She raises the puppies in her living room and they are well adjusted to house noise when they go home to forever families.I would not hesitate to get another puppy from Danjek. They are healthy, socialised, and great dogs.

I can’t believe the negative comments I’m reading. Reputable Portuguese water dog breeders are very particular about who they sell to. I have purchased three dogs from Adrianna’s family. Each dog has their own wonderful personality, they were impeccably cared for, and this breeder knows what she is doing. All three dogs had to be delivered from the breeder to Chicago Illinois. There were very many details that needed to be worked out, and Adrianna handled this all for us. I would recommend them to everybody.

Family type business. They seem to Love their dogs and have a lot of experience.
